Past winners keeping busy
This month is a bumper month for ambitious exhibitions by NAP winners. Opening on Friday at the Grundy Gallery, Blackpool, Black Stir is a two person exhibition by Leo Fitzmaurice (2011 winner) and Paul Rooney (2008 winner). The exhibition will comprise of two separate installations which both aim to unsettle the gallery environment and disorientate the visitor. The exhibition continues until 5 May 2012.

Haroon Mirza - Installation view
2010 prize winner Haroon Mirza is currently showing in a solo exhibition at Spike Island, Bristol. This is his first large scale solo exhibition and presents a group of individual works, each an assemblage of separate components that synthesise light, sound and movement, orchestrated to form an aesthetic whole across the gallery. There’s just a week left to see the exhibition which closes on 25 March but it will be touring first to Bonniers Konsthall (Nov 2012) and then to MIMA, Middlesbrough, in March 2013. In the meantime you can whet your appetite with a Creative Times review of the exhibition.
