The Northern Art Prize 2008 exhibition took place at Leeds Art Gallery from 21 November 2008 until 1 February 2009, featuring work by Clare Charnley, Richard Forster, Paul Rooney and Imogen Stidworthy. The prize was won by Paul Rooney.
The selectors for 2008 were Iwona Blazwick (Director Whitechapel Art Gallery), Louisa Buck (Writer and contemporary art critic), Georgina Starr (Artist), Anita Zabludowicz (Art Collector) and Tanja Pirsig-Marshall (Curator of Exhibitions, Leeds Art Gallery) who also curated the exhibition of work by the shortlisted artists.
